The Friends of All Saints Church Group was set up to keep the church grounds tidy: to maintain and tend this lovely ancient building, parts of which date back about a thousand years!

We hope to make the space a place of colour and enjoyment, peace and vibrancy, in short, somewhere to be proud of.

Everyone is Welcome

We’ve no discrimination around creed, colour, gender, religious bias, addiction, wealth or poverty… just for anyone and everyone who wants to do something positive for a couple of hours a week, weather permitting, here in Wath upon Dearne.

Gardening and a chat at All Saints Churchyard

It’s not hard to imagine what the place might look like if it were left to ‘mother nature’: gravestones would be covered in moss, and paths would fill up with weeds in no time.

Beyond that, we would like to enhance its natural beauty. In 2020, we planted many spring bulbs and found some new headstones buried under the soil.

Join us

Of course, there is much to be done, so if you have spare time on any Monday morning, do pop down to chat with us or even join in. We can find you something to do, but mainly, gardening is such a therapeutic activity, made even better by mixing in a little socialising and chat.
