“Be still and know that I am God”
An opportunity to deepen your relationship with God through contemplative prayer.
In the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping, can you really encounter God’s peace? Perhaps we all lose sight of what this time of year is all about or even forget that God is always for us. Furthermore, unless you deliberately make time and space to come back to God, surely you’ll continue to get stressed out until the new year.
If spending some time in a local church in quiet prayer or meditation appeals as a way forward and to come back to peace, this is for you.
What the Quiet Day is About
The quiet day is an opportunity to put time aside to sit quietly before God. It is about building your own individual relationship with God, and it’s a chance to look at what may be new ways of praying and seeking God.
There is no requirement to pray aloud, share anything or take part in anything that you would rather not. Mike Underwood and Andrea Burton will be available during the day for support and prayer if you wish to seek it.
